SUMMER ESSENTIALS

It's summa summa time, ya'll! I'm linking up with some super blogging mamas to share our must-have summertime essentials. Let's get started, shall we?

For Lucas:

• Native shoes // Lucas has the Jefferson style and has been living in these bad boys for the past month. They act as both a sneaker and a water shoe: genius! The quality is fantastic and I can rinse them off in the sink and they're as good as new.

• White tees // I think Lucas looks adorable in a white tee and denim shorts. But let's be serious..white and toddlers DON'T MIX. I stock up on these from H&M - they're super cheap and hold up well to countless rounds in the wash (and I don't feel bad tossing one after it's been covered in blueberry stains). 

• Detangler // My boys locks are growing and his curls are looking like a boss from the summer humidity. My go-to product to make his curls look their best is Tangled Tantrum's detangling and conditioner spray. It's chemical and paraben-free, smells delish, and gets all the knots out without Lucas having a mini breakdown. (I also frequently use it on my hair. So this one counts as a mama and Lucas pick.) 

• Fruit and veggie wash // I have been using this wash from The Honest Co. to clean all of our fruits and veggies. Lucas has become slightly pickier when it comes to meal time and his food of choice is..you guessed it..fruits and vegetables. I use this spray pretty much daily and feel so much better about serving Lucas his veggies. 

For mama:

• Colorful flats // These are from Zara and are ON SALE (winner winner chicken dinner!) for $29.99. I buy new sandals at the beginning of every summer  and basically wear them to pieces all season long. 

• Cool hat: I love me a good hat. Floppy hats, sun-visors, turbans. Gimme all the hats! I especially like baseball caps and this Boy London trucker style is pretty awesome. Here's a tip: I have found a few very cool hats in the mens section. 

• Denim shorts // A summer must! I throw mine on almost daily. You can pair with a a simple tee (and a cool hat. see above ;) or dress them up with a linen blouse. The options are endless! I heart these from H&M.
